Exceptionally fine condition and superbly detailed OFFICER cap badge of the Canadian Guards. Frosted silver plate with burnished highlights star back-piece with separately applied dead-gilt and burnished highlights Crown, title annulus and maple leaves. Red enameled centre. Cap badge measures 53 mm (2 1/16 inches) high X 38 mm (1 1/2 inches) wide.Two wire loop lugs present on reverse of badge for attachment. Images are of the actual item and comprise part of the description. Harder to find OFFICER badge of this period and especially so in this first-class condition.A stunning example of the exquisite quality of Officer insignia of this period.
