You are offerding (at ) on a Chicago Rock Island & Southern Pacific bread plate in excellent condition. There are some light utensil marks on the face of the plate when reflecting light on the surface from different angles yet it displays amazingly well. This measures 5 1/2” in diameter. The logo and back stamp are clear and sharp. Due to the Southern Pacific backing out of the deal after the CRI had already built their train, this route was never fully available to the general public. The train cars were rounded on the ends in an Art Deco manner and the interior (and dining car china) had a Southwestern motif. You will be hard pressed to find a plate in this condition.
