This is the complete VOLUME 4, NUMBER 12 DECEMBER 1986 #42 ISSUE OF \"COUNTDOWN MAGAZINE!\" This publication was dedicated to NASA Programs, in particular the SPACE SHUTTLE. The issue has 24 pages. Features: COVER CHALLENGER\'S RECONSTRUCTED AFT BULKHEAD... WHAT NASA KNEW ABOUT CHALLENGER AND WHEN THEY KNEW IT (12 PAGES OF CHRONOLOGY FROM THE DAY OF THE ACCIDENT THROUGH FEBRUARY... THE SPACE STATION TAKES SHAPE AGAIN... TIME TAG NASA EVENTS IN OCTOBER... This is in fine shape; some typical vintage corner and edge wear; GREATEST FLAW IS THE SURFACE PATCH CREATED WHEN THE mailing label was removed from the cover; not mint but fairly gently treated. This came from the estate of an aerospace engineer who worked on NASA projects from the Apollo Program in the late 1960s and on to the Space Shuttle program in the 1980s...
