Charles BARRET1861-1934 Charles Barret  Artist, theater producer, theater manager Charles Eugène Baret (September 12, 1861 in Nantes - November 21, 1934) was a theater director and organizer of French shows. He founds the Charles Baret tours which offer shows throughout France and which continue after his death. BiographyCharles Baret is the son of Auguste Baret, pharmacist, and Célestine Eugénie Level.Holder of a bachelor of science, Charles Baret fulfilled his military obligations in 1881 serving at 65° RI Nantes.
He was already a comic actor in 1880, then opted for the organization of show tours, especially in Alsace-Lorraine before 1914.
He is Antoine\'s pupil.
He married twice, on December 15, 1908 and April 27, 1914, respectively with Gratienne Prat (in Viroflay) and Aline Jacquemart (in Valmandois).

The Baret ToursThe Baret theatrical tours were created in 1891. and continue until the 1980s.Raoul Audier became in 1921, with Janvier, the collaborator of Charles Baret, director of the Tours Charles Baret, Audier, Janvier et Cie and the rest until his death.The head office of Ch. Baret, Janvier et Cie was 87 rue Taitbout in Paris 9°. In 1923, it employed 38 people. She gave 4000 performances in 87 different performances employing 450 artists including 150 regulars.
It institutes a subscription system.
Programs are developed with research; their development calls on famous designers, such as Mich, Sem, Job or even Benjamin Rabier.
The repertoire is renewed by his knowledge of the great successful authors who are Georges Courteline or Tristan Bernard.
He had the cinematograph installed in the Évreux theatre.
The death of his wife and the fact of age made him put an end to his activities in 1929.

He was a member of the Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers.
