JS(CC)67 RAFcover showing a Coastal Command Vickers Wellington of No 36 Squadron over a German Type VII U-Boat bearing a single Royal Mail Submarine stamp cancelled on the first day of issue with ourBFPS sponsored postmark for the Centenary of the Royal Navy Submarine Service 1901-2001Set of 10 each bearing the signature of a difference U-Boat Commander as listed below - various stamps from the Submarine issue were used through out:.

#1 signed by Erich Topp who was awarded Knight\'s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords, Commander of U-57, U-552 and U-2513 during WWII and the third highest rated U-boat commander

#2 signed by Rolf Thomsen KC with Oak Leaves, Commander of U-1202

#3 signed by Siegfried Koitschka KC, Watch officer on U-552, then commander U-7 and U-616. In fact U-616 was sunk by Wellington\'s of No 36 Squadron, one of which is shown on the cover artwork.

#4 signed by Hans Georg Hess KC, Commander U-995

#5 signed by Paul Brasack KC, Commander U-737

#6 signed by Helmut Witte KC, Commander U-159

#7 signed by Gunther Heinrich, Commander of U-960, it is additionally signed by Flt Lt A.H. Hilliard, who flew Mosquitoes with No 618 Squadron who sank one U-boat and damaged Gunther Heinrich\'s U-boat. U-960 was eventually sunk by Wellingtons of No 36 squadron and Venturas of No 500 Squadron
