Up for sale is a C.1880 Broadside for Al Martz\'s New Big Specialty Company which was a Promoter for a Traveling Entertainment Troupe. Comedian Al Martz, Dancers/Singers John & Hattie Fagan, Comedian Bert Howe, Professor (Magician) F.A. Dana and others are shown on one side. This is a Double Sided Broadside on Pink Paper that measures 24\" x 9 1/2\". Most likely preforming at the Bangor, ME Opera House as this area was sparsely populated in the 19th Century and Bangor was the largest Northern Town with accomodations. Pencil writing at the bottom includes the name Knowlton which was slightly scratched out. This was the estate that it was found.This Broadside came from the Jabez Knowlton General Store in Newburgh of which I had the pleasure to attend this Historical sale. This was the epicenter of information for the town and Old Jabez held on to just about everything, including broadsides and handbills.I will ship folded only once for safe shipment. 203/4\" x 6\" Please enlarge all photos for a better view of condition and read the entire condition section, Thank You in advance.
