The arrival of the President of the Republic Armand Fallières on July 9, 1911

After numerous requests, the President of the Republic Armand Fallières agreed to come to Roubaix to visit the International Textile Exhibition in the North of France. It was not until July 9 that he made the trip. Coming from the Netherlands, there will only be 6 hours left in the textile capital.

For the inauguration, on April 29, he had delegated his trade minister, Mr. Massé.

It should be noted that in 1906 it was the same for him to come to the Exhibition of Tourcoing. Barely elected, on January 17, 1906, it took all the energy of the mayor of Tourcoing Gustave Dron for him to agree to make this trip.
