Buddy Ebsen Disney Davy Crockett 1955 Autographed 8x10 Photo B&W personal msg:

This is an original black and white publicity photo of Buddy Ebsen from 1955 on the set of Davy Crockett, the Disney TV series and film.

This was given to my 94 year old mother, and includes the actor's autograph and message:

"Dear Lila - can't find the words for the feelings that should go here but some day. Anyway, Thanks! Buddy"

My mother worked for the Disney Company in the 1950s in the publicity department and she became friendly with Buddy Ebsen and Fess Parker, among other celebrities.

There is a small stain on the left edge of the photo. Otherwise, it is in very good condition for its age.

There are numbers in the lower right of the photo which are on other publicity photos my mother has from that time. I'm not sure what they mean. This one says "TV59oc" (see photo).

Buddy Ebsen had a long, amazing career, including this iconic role as Davy Crockett's sidekick George "Georgie" Russell.
