Welcome (back) to the wonderful world of Lilliput Lane miniatures collecting. Lovely replicas or fantasies on real British cottages and historic buildings. They aren’t making them anymore and they are delicate, so collect now.
Blue Boar is modelled on an inn in Chieveley, just north of Newbury in Berkshire. Oliver Cromwell stayed here there night before the Battle of Newbury. A man with a frothing tankard sits on a bench outside toasting us beside a huge wisteria in flower. A black cat lounges on a ledge. In the back a large workshop has its door open so we can see the detail inside.
