This is a low grade item. It will be complete and readable, but will show significant wear. Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects.

Plus: "The Curse of Mr. Doom" - After saving a sorcerer's life, 'Mr. Doom' is granted his wish for fame. He predicts tragic events that are about to occur and the Blackhawks must follow him to save lives. And: "Captives of the Mermen" - Renegade mermen from the undersea city of Aqua capture the Hawksub and kidnap three of the Blackhawks with intentions to take over the city. Also: 1-page text story "Tiger by the Tail"! Plus: 1-page public service announcement "It's Fun to Help Others" starring Superboy, written by Jack Schiff and illustrated by Curt Swan & Stan Kaye! 32 pages, full color.
