We are pleased to offer this superbly glazed egg vase by Ben Owen III. The vase is 5.25\" and has Owen\'s signature \"Chinese Blue\" who\'s recipe was created by his Grandfather which he continues to use to this day. Owens learned how to be a potter from his grandfather and father and was apprenticed by age 13!The glaze has beautiful variation and flow between the blue and red hues that add a depth to the glaze that is unparalleled and highly sought after. The vase is hand inscribed on the bottom with \"Ben Owen III 1985\" making it one of his earlier pieces. Ben Owens III continues the masterful pottery tradition of his family for over 6 generations in North Carolina. Owen\'s creates his pottery blending and interpreting the form and glazes from Chinese and North Carolina pottery traditions. Owen\'s pottery is found in many important collections and museums throughout the world. A wonderful piece for your art pottery collection!
CONDITION:This vase is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or breaks. We will ship carefully in a double box.
