This beautiful textile is a European hemp sheet dating from the mid 1800\'s. This piece is 100% hand woven hemp, with a fabuloushand stitchedcenter seam.The panels of hand woven linen were seamed together to make larger textiles!It\'s wonderfully heavy... this textile weights over 4 pounds! It\'s very textural, it\'s not soft and it\'s not coarse, rather in between, I would say - it has a plain weave and a lovely texture similar to canvas, but softer, and has lovely striations from the natural fibers! This piece also has a very faint pink cast as well - perhaps sometime in the past it was washed with another textile? It\'s hard to say - but I just adore everything about this textile! Heavyweight and durable, it would be ideal used as a light blanket or as a throw in the living room, or would be perfect to deconstruct for projects such as upholstery, pillows, a quilt back, a tablecloth, shower curtain, curtains, etc!
MEASUREMENTS: This beautiful sheet measures approximately 86 inches by 89 inches ~
CONDITION: I\'ve freshly laundered this wonderful textile and it\'s ready to use! There are a few faint marks that may not wash, but otherwise it\'s ingorgeous conditionindeed!
