Beautiful reverse-painted glass lampshade--unsigned, but is assumed to be an original Pairpoint based on the design, quality, and thickness of the glass. Experts have noted that not all Pairpoint shades are signed--presumably because they were attached to a lamp with the appropriate mark. This conical style (empire) was typically paired with candelabra lamps.
This piece features an Italian garden scene with stairs and a railing leading to a flowing fountain surrounded by tall colorful trees all around the shade. It dates from the 1930\'s.
