DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.....I got this great NANTUCKET basket in Maine. Has a great appearance and has the classic oval NANTUCKET BASKET shape, with handle, as shown in the scans. Typical NANTUCKET STYLE, with wooden base, wrapped rim, finely woven, etc. CURVED, 2-DIMENSIONAL SHAPE, ROUNDED AT THE BASE, ETC. Really nice shape and very well made.....have to see it to really appreciate it.

Nice vintage size and shape. HAS ALL THE APPEARANCES OF A CLASSIC NANTUCKET BASKET POCKETBOOK. Was made as a basket, however, not a pocketbook. Just looks like it. No top as a pocket book would have. However, has the moving wooden handle as shown, typical of the CLASSIC NANTUCKET BASKET.

Very substantial and well made. Has great patina and shape, and would be a great decorator!! Nice for a variety of uses as well.Nicely made and has nice muted colors. Also has a nice looking weave and design to it, as shown. Hope my scans do it justice.

Wood base at the bottom is about 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", and basket measures 9" x 10 1/2" at the top. 7" tall.

Very neat shape and to see how it is made, in classic NANTUCKET style. Excellent condition. YOU WILL BE VERY PLEASED WITH THIS CLASSIC BASKET!!
