This listing is for a set of twenty-five(25) \'Barnaby\' Daily Comic Strips by Crockett Johnson. These are not reprints, these are original black and white strips cut from Newspapers published November 1945. They are all 5C (Five-Column) Size, apprx 10\" x 3\" each.

Barnaby is considered a classic in the history of comic strips. The delightful strip first appeared in 1942 where the main child character Barnaby Baxter wished for a Fairy Godmother. That wish was fulfilled by a cigar-smoking Jackeen J. O\'Malley who would complicate Barnaby\'s life forever after. The strip lasted for 10 years, however it only appeared in a limited number of newspapers. Examples of the strip are considered to be uncommon and command a modest premium.

These strips are in pretty good condition. The paper quality is a very supple off-white, however the far-right and bottom sides of these are tanned. The print quality is fine with sharp Black and White lines. These are extremely collectable comic strips(see pics provided).
