Dorothy-Lee Jones Collectible Pairpoint Glass Cup Plate 72 Baldwin Maine Study Gallery Vintage Window Decoration Vintage Maine Home Decor The Study Gallery, a center for Glass and Ceramics was located in Douglas Hill, Baldwin, Maine. Dorothy-Lee Jones Ward, former President of the National Early American Glass Club, lived in Sebago, Maine and started the The Study Gallery: A Museum of Glass and Ceramics in 1978. Wanting to showcase the history and beauty of both glass and ceramics, the museum was open to the public from May to October. The name was later changed to the Jones Museum of Glass and Ceramics. Pairpoint cup plate number 72 features an adaptation of the Jones Gallery of Glass and Ceramic\'s logo. The logo was taken from a beautiful stained glass window that was designed/made by Dalle de Verre Studios of North Conway, NH. This is the version of the vintage cup plate that without a date inscription. Handcrafted on Cape Cod using time-honored techniques, these 3.5 inch cup plates have subtle variations that highlight the artisan\'s skill. Each cup plate is crafted using a mold created with a hammer and chisel, and then pressed with molten glass using an antique press. This manufacturing process results in cup plates that are similar yet possess their own distinctive characteristics. Look closely and you\'ll find the artisan\'s initials and the Pairpoint trademark within the design.
