Vintage Art Deco GORILLA DESK-TOP TRAY of approx. 7- 1/2\" OAH mounted on a 4-1/4\" round base, supporting a Giant Lilly Pad of about 7-1/8\' dia., all composed of highly detailed Bass or Bronze w/ a blackened & polished surface finish. Recently purchased at Estate, this unusual Gorilla Tray was probably intended for pocket change, small items of jewelry, business cards, etc. Condition is very good overall, showing NO dings, dents, scratches, or repairs.(See Photos) Side-seamed & welded solidly on each side (two part mold) and also at feet to base & at hands to Lilly Pad. Very sturdy & nicely detailed overall, the quality and workmanship is excellent.(See Photos) Obviously little, if ever. much used, the base is covered in a black felt.
