Up for offer is a wonderful vintage friendship postcard. Featured is a colorful lithographic illustration of an adorable post-Victorian era boy wearing period attire. He's holding a lovely bouquet of colorful violets. Below is a beautifully printed greeting. When you supersize image 1 you can see the wonderful details. The artistry's terrific and the colors are still vivid.I'm sure that Frances Brundage, one of the most talented and prolific artists of postcards at the beginning of the last century, has provided the illustration, as it epitomizes her style.When you supersize image 2 you can see that this beautifully embossed postcard was printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by Raphael Tuck & Sons (one of Brundage's favorite publishers). It has not been posted and has handwriting on the divided back. What makes this card very special is that there is printed advertising on the back for "Heydt Bakery".Here is a wonderful old card that is desirable in many ways. CONDITION: Expected light soiling with corner blunting. A bit of surface and edge wear. No creases, stains or rips. Clear image and vivid colors. This 110 year-old paper antique presents beautifully.
