Up for sale is an original 1950\'s / 1960\'s Mexican Sombrero that was hand made according to the Mexican pickers I work with. This sombrero is made of felt, I believe?? It could be straw as that was the most used material especially with early made sombrero. This was certainly worn and used and NOT THE HUNDREDS YOU SEE ON THAT ARE TOURIST SOMBREROS. The interior of the sombrero is in excellent condition with a newer replaced headband. The exterior is also in great condition showing age and wear on the edges from the sun and being taken off and put on with ones fingers for years. A small separation in the material of the sombrero which can not be seen if displayed. It is noticed when you pick up the sombrero. The cord on the top of the sombrero and the chin tie cord are both in excellent condition .It measures roughly about 19 inches across and 6 1/4 inches tall. As mentioned I bought this from my Mexican picker friends that bring me a great deal of early Mexican and America antiques from Mexico. There is not an exact age on this piece and I am going on what they told me. You are buying what you see online. Shipping to the lower 48 states is $70.00.
