BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE NORITAKE 10in SHELL SHAPED BOWL, RED WREATH MARK, SWAGS, BLACK:

Maker and age: This superb and finely decorated bowl has the red wreath mark of the renowned Japanese maker Noritake, successor to the equally renowned firm Morimura Nippon. The mark includes the phrase \"Made in Japan\". This mark was in use from 1918 until the 1940s.
Design: Noritake is justifiably famous for its high quality and this bowl is no exception. The shell-shaped bowl features beautiful hand-painted floral swags against a cream colored background. A black band outlined in gold is at the top.
Size: The bowl is 10 inches long, 7 1/2 inches wide, 4 1/2 inches tall at the tall end and 3 7/8 inches tall at the short end. It weighs 1 pound 7 ounces.
Condition: There are no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, repairs, crazing, stains or discoloration. There is wear to the upper gold edge and the feet, and a section on one end where the glaze has worn off the black band but the black remains. That\'s shown in the photo with the red arrow.
