There are three different varieties of green 5 Heller postal cards issued for the 60th anniversary/Jubilee of Emperor Franz Joesph\'s rule that feature Franz Joseph & Vienna on the front. One relates to the exhibition in Prague, one includes Italian text and the third has a special red Vienna cancel for Dec. 2, 1908.
There are two picture postcards featuring Franz Joesph. Both have a special red Vienna cancel for Dec. 2, 1908. One shows multiple pictures of Franz Joesph and is franked with a purple 2 Heller (Scott #111) that also has a black CDS of Vienna 2.22.08. The other card shows Franz Joseph over the Austrian eagle and is franked with a green 5 Heller (Scott #113).
There are two unused picture post cards showing scenes from festival & parades honoring the 1908 jubilee. One is in color showing riders on horseback and marchers in front of crowds. The other card is black and white, featuring a group that commemorated overcoming the Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683.
1910 -A special 5 heller green postal card noted as the official card for the international hunting exhibition in Vienna. The picture side shows Emperor Frank Joseph in traditional Austrian hunting garb, with a walking stick in front of a felled buck.
1912 -An unused color postcard issued for the 23rd International Eucharistic Congress in Vienna in September 1912. Message side features a small logo for the congress and notes where it was to be held. Card has been folded.
1914 -A 1908 jubilee postal card featuring Franz Joseph on the front has been augmented by a color crown with 1914 and viribus unitis (\"with united forces\" was Franz Jospeh\'s personal motto during WWI). The card, though unmailed, is cancelled with a CDS from Vienna Feb. 18, 1914.
WWI era - 1914-1918 - 6 officially issued cards, 5 different, all unused
Three official cards are part of a series to raise funds for the Red Cross to assist with the war effort. Two are number 237 and feature Kaiser Franz Jospeh in a military uniform with his signature beneath it. The other card, number 95, shows armies coming together after a historic agreement between three Kaisers; it has an indication that the price of the post card is 20 heller.
Two official cards are part of a series to assist refugees from the South. Number 294 shows a color painting of a lane and trees based on an original that Empress Maria Joseph allowed to be utilized. Number 308 shows a color painting of a boat on a lake in front of a large building on the shore - bottom right has some lettering of the artist O Hermann-Lamb (Oskar Hermann-Lamb was a noted Austrian painter who lived from 1876-1947)
An official card for the Austrian Central Committee for the Construction of a Soldier\'s Home in Vienna. The black & white picture features Emperor Charles (Karl) with his wife and 4 children - Crown Prince Otto plus Adelheid, Robert & Felix. Since Charles is now shown as the Kaiser, the card would have been issued after the death of Franz Joseph in November 1916.
1921An unused color postcard for the 1921 Vienna Trade Fair showing the main building and crowds. Back notes that the card required 80 Heller to mail.
