Augustus Roy Knabenshue [1875 1960] was an American aeronautical engineer,aviation pioneer and Early Bird who made his first flight in a balloon in 1904. Knabenshue achieved many firsts in aviation including the first to fly a dirigible over New York in 1905, and one of the first to pilot a steerable balloon. He was also an airplane pilot who was hired by the Wright Company in 1910 to manage the 1910-1911 Wright Exhibition Team. Listed for sale isthe autograph of Augustus Roy Knabenshue signed on a postal cover. The autograph is signed \'\'Roy Knabenshue\'\' in black fountainpen and the cover measures 6.50 x3.50, it has trivial toning otherwise itis in fine condition. The autograph isauthentic, rare to obtain and is a niceexample of this prominent aviation pioneer.
