Here\'s a beautiful antique 18th century Georgian hand painted enamel patch box with a love and marriage or wedding theme from Bilston, England. The lid has a painting of two lovers walking toward a church and an inscription that reads \"Let Hymen prove How true I love\" which would refer to hymns. The body of the box is in blue enamel.

The piece measures ⅞ inch tall, 1½ inches long and 1⅛inches wide.

It is in excellent condition with no damage or losses to enamel. The copper mounts have an even patina.

There is an old sticker on the inside from an antiques company in New York where the box was purchased at one time.
