About Art Zilio
Arthur Zilio began his affair with photography at the age of ten, whenhis father gave him a Polaroid camera. But it was not until 1967, whileon active duty in the U.S. Army, that his passion for photographyblossomed. Using a 4x5 Speed Graphic, Art taught himself photographyduring his off duty hours, making use of the U.S.O. darkroom.
Until 1995, his subjects were mostly black and white landscapes in thegrand tradition of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. It was in that year,while traveling to Rhodes, Greece, that he was asked to take nudephotographs of a a young Scandinavian woman for her boyfriend. Hesitantat first, Art found that the woman's form flowed with the landscape andadded an entirely new dimension to his work. Since that time he hasdevoted his efforts to capturing the sexual and sensual beauty of thefemale form, both in nature and man-made environments, whileconstantly pushing the limits of his vision.
His work has been exhibited in the U.S. and Europe and is widely collected.

I've recently turned 70 and been thinking a lot about what a great life I've had, and to have made it this far. Will I still be selling photographs 30 years from now, God only knows, but it's doubtful. Will I be selling over the next 10 years, I'm hopeful. In the coming months I plan to redo my website, add many more photographs to my two Etsy stores, and sell sell sell lots and lots here on .This month has been super busy for me, but I'm catching up and getting ready to list list list more on .
