Arizona Charlie Meadows CDV Rare Photograph Western Payson Rodeo Buffalo Bill: $450.00
"Arizona Charlie" Meadows (1860-1932), born Abraham Henson Meadows, was a legendary cowboy, showman and sharpshooter of the Wild West. Standing at an imposing 6'6" tall, the legendary Charlie performed worldwide for the likes of Queen Victoria, alongside western showmen like Buffalo Bill Cody. In 1884 Charlie organized Arizona's Payson Rodeo, the "world's oldest continuous rodeo." This rare image of Meadows, taken in San Francisco, is often confused with that of his contemporary, Buffalo Bill. This super rare CDV measures approximately 2.5" x 4" and is in very good condition, with just a touch of age-related discoloration on the borders. This is an original mounted image, *not* a reproduction.
