Allowed defects for this grade include: spine roll, a moderate amount of staining or water damage, writing or other marks on the cover, up to one inch spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a minor piece or pieces missing. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor/moderate defects or one or two major defects.

Joyful Journey, script by Frank Doyle, pencils by Dan DeCarlo, inks by Rudy Lapick; After hearing Mr. Weatherbee's lecture on the importance of spreading happiness, Betty decides to spread joy to everyone in her life, but her "joyful" pronouncements set off a class war between the Andrews and Lodge families. Fish Fried, pencils by Dan DeCarlo, inks by Rudy Lapick; Archie comes up with an elaborate scheme that will allow him and Veronica to get more dating money out of Mr. Lodge; The first step is for Veronica to feign an interest in collecting extremely expensive tropical fish. Tree To Get Ready, pencils by Bill Vigoda; Archie breaks the Christmas tree decorations, so the gang makes decorations out of food, but Jughead promptly eats them.
