Despite misspellings the packaging, the specimen is amazing. Display face measures 1.2 cm. x 1.1 cm. It is mounted on a pedestal in a two part cardboard micromount display case as was favored by the great micromounters of the early 20lth century.

This specimen and allmicromounts, require significant magnification to be appreciated and sometimesare too small to be seen with the naked eye.The pertinent species, certainly when on matrix, often comprises but asmall portion of the overall specimen. The micromounts offered for sale at thissite have been photographed at between 10x and 50x and except where otherwisenoted come mounted in lidded plastic boxes of various ages ranging in size froma little less to a little more than one cubic inch. We ship up to 6 micromountsin a 4 inch x 4 inch x 4 inch box. Usually, our micromounts come from oldcollections. Identifications typicallyspeak for themselves pursuant to labels that are usually original and affixedto the case bearing the specimen when we acquired it.Whenever theseidentifications are not immediately obvious, we research as much as possiblerelying on MINDAT and other sources, andwe will not sell specimens we are not convinced have been labeled accuratelyaccording to both species and locality. Usually, the specimens are mounted with glue to a pedestal that\'s often fabricated fromcork, wood, or plastic, which in turn has been glued to the bottom of thedisplay case. Some specimens, however, are more simply mounted to the bottom oftheir cases with a plastic-based putty known as \"Mineral Tack.\"Before we list and before shipping, we check to ascertain that each specimen isfirmly mounted. When appropriate, we\'ll enclose a bit of toilet paper, battingor or very thin plastic wrap material inside the micromount case to help assurethat the specimen remains firmly mounted during shipping. Even so, it\'s notimpossible for a micromount to becomedislodged during shipping. Occasionally this damages the specimen, but usuallynot. Should a specimen arrive damaged,we issue an immediate refund. Should a micromount specimen selling for morethan $10.00 US arrive damaged we request that it be returned and will refundyour payment and reimburse your shipping costs to return it.
