Antique JUDD Cast IronLADY W/ BONNET and BOW tray / ink well #4347 dark green polychrome paint and brass platein excellent aged condition. This ink well has the original glass insert which is rare to find. Typically the glass insert is missing.
The head swivels all around to allow access to the ink well glass insert.
I believe? this was made by Judd of New Britain, Conn. I have a couple Judd paper clips with the same female head, bonnet and ribbon (design 5241) that are definitely made by Judd. See last pic. No cracks, chips, bends, breaks.The polychrome paint is in good condition and is pretty.The original brass plating is in excellent condition on the top plate. The tray / ink well measures 6” long x 6-1/4” wide x almost 2\" high. It weighs in at 1 pound and 3.4 ounces. It has the design number #4347 on the back of the
