This is a lovely porcelain creamer and bowl from Union of factories, made in Czechoslovakia. Very pretty design of a light blue border, edged in a darker blue, above a bright white that has a decoration of pink roses and other summer flowers. The angled handle on the creamer looks like art deco, and both the creamer and the bowl have 8 panels so they are sort of octagonal too.

The backstamp in green under the glaze with a crown over a wreath with the word UNION was used between 1921-1927 according to porcelainmarksandmore.com. Union refers to a group of potteries that formed in Czechoslovakia to compete with another group of potteries there called EPIAG.

The other backstamp FB&Co on top of the glaze, shows that these pieces were decorated for Fisher, Bruce and Company, which was an American importer out of Philadelphia. They imported porcelain from manufacturers in Czechoslovakia in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Their backstamp says Bohemia, which is the German name for Czechoslovakia.

The creamer is 2 & 1/2 inches tall, about 4 & 7/8 inches wide from handle to spout, and holds 1/2 cup. The bowl is about 1 & 5/8 inches tall, and 6 & 3/8 inches in wide and holds 1 cup. The porcelain is very fine, and the creamer weighs only 3 ounces, and the bowl weighs about 6.5 ounces.

This set is in excellent vintage condition, with no cracks, or crazing. There is a small chip on the underside of the bowl that can be seen in picture #16. It cannot be seen from the topside. I do not see any marks on the glaze at an angle to the light on these pieces.
