In a time before travelers had their own camera, or the ability to record the historically important architectural icons of Paris, they could purchase bound sets like this one. The photos are top quality, cabinet card images, large at 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" shown with bound hard cover. Often separated from a book like this and sold separately in the $40-$50 price range each, this book remains complete with top quality early images, late Napoleon III era to as late as 1890s.

Very good condition, with the actual photos being excellent for age and type. Protected by the original hard cover, they are not subject to surface scratches or flaws. Originally the photos would have opened in folds (a narrow cloth strap connecting them from back) so they would all have folded out and then back in an accordion pleating. Some of the strips of cloth have come loose but remain so you can rejoin them if you'd like. Suitable images to frame - your own souvenir of your own Grand Tour.

Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is received (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
