Antique Wilson Philadelphia Sterling Monogrammed Hinged Lid Cut Crystal InkwellGorgeous antique William Wilson & Son, Philadelphia, PA, cut crystal and sterling inkwell, circa 1883-1909. The marking on the hinged lid are: a W inside a circle, Sterling 722 PAI\'D. The monogram is hand engraved in an interlocking script, the only letter I can make out is a center H (which would have been for the last name).
All of the edges of the crystal bottom are beveled with aseriesofstraight short lines that are just beautiful. The bottom of the piece is also cut in a series of nine squares of different patterns.
Measures 2 3/8\" squared, 3\" tall (to the top of the lid) and weighs a total of 13.8 ounces.
