Antique Wedgwood Jasperware Medallion Plaque - Blue/White - Duke of Wellington:

This hard to find oval medallion / plaque was manufactured by Wedgwood of England. The plaque shows the portrait image of the \'Duke of Wellington\' (1769 - 1852) facing forward with arms folded. The plaque comes in a dark blue ground dipware jasper with an applied white portrait. Plaque measures 4\" x 3-1/8\" and comes in great condition with no chips or cracks. There is a possible flaw to the tip of the nose but doesn\'t appear to be chipped. Backside of plaque has an impressed \'Wedgwood\' mark. Dates from around 1850 - 1860 era.
