Antique/Vintage Röders Soltauer Zinn Pewter Wine Goblets Cups SET OF 8, GERMANY:

Antique/vintage wine goblet / cup by Röders ARS Soltauer. Items are being sold in a set of eight. Cup measures approximately 4 1/2” tall and the lip of the cup measures 3” wide.

The drinking cups are hallmarked underneath with “B1T ARS Soltau Zinn Bleifrei.” Soltau is located in Germany, Zinn is German meaning “pewter,” and Bleifrei is German meaning “lead-free.”

Exact age of cups are unknown. I have only washed these in mild soap and water and not tried any polish on them. The lip of some of the cups appear to be a little uneven, but great condition overall for antique/vintage wine goblets.

The exact date of the ARS Röders establishment is unknown but is estimated to be about 1800, when Jasper Röders set up a craft enterprise as a pewter manufacturer in Soltau. He produced pewter tableware for the citizen of Soltau and the surrounding area.
