This is an antique cloth scrapbook. It has nine pages plus the front cover and back cover. It is bound by machine sewing over ribbon. The edges are pinked. There is one available.It measures approximately 10\" x 8\".

The scrapbook\'s illustrations include Victorian-era advertising cards, color lithograph cutouts, and catalog cutouts. All pages are intact except for one, which someone cut a piece out of.

Since this scrapbook contains Victorian-era items and later ephemera, it was probably started in the early 1900s and finished in the late 1930s. Maybe it was a mother’s scrapbook that her daughter found and continued? It’s hard to say.

Some of the themes of the illustrations include Victorian ladies and children, advertising cards from local merchants, flowers, vegetables, and greeting cards. One of the advertisements is dated 1892.

The colors of the art and fabric are striking, and it’s easy to see someone created this with a lot of love and care. It was sure to be a treasure of memories then, and now it can be yours.

This comes from a smoke-free home. It will be wrapped in tissue paper and plastic for transit.
