Antique Ulos Batak Shoulder Cloth Woven Beaded Ceremonial:

This woven ceremonial shoulder cloth would have been worn by the Batak people of Sumatra. It is beautifully beaded and is in great condition. It measures about 67 inches long, and 26 inches wide. The fringe is approx. 4.5 inches long. The only flaw I could find is along the edge, there are some runs where the darker fabric ran into the lighter edge. From what I could find out about this cloth, it is a ceremonial cloth. Worn to weddings, funerals. etc. I hope this is correct, as I have never seen one of these before now.
