Antique Twin Compartment Tea Caddy - Sarcophagus Shape/Ball & Claw Feet, Lined:

On offer is this early Victorian sarcophagus shapedtea caddy.Inlaid lighterwood compliments the rosewood veneer. Inlaid detailing around the key hole and turned examples for the interior lid handles. Twin compartments on the interior. Brass or gilt metal \'ball and claw\' feet, with on the side, sunburst brass/gilt metal handle surrounds.Dimensions: 18.8cm x 11.6cm x 16cm. Raw unpackaged weight of 654g.In good antique condition. Note, no key. No missing veneer. However, the one ring handle is missing (both could be replaced if desired). The \'sunburst\' detailing on the sides have been replacements at some point as their fixtures have been screwed through the interior (which would not have been the case with any original handles).
