This is such a sweet little box. I love boxes and always pick them up especially if they’re unique. Through research I’ve discovered that this is a Mauchline Fernware box. You can see the fern pattern all over the box. The bottom looks like leather. It probably used to be a locking box but the lock no longer works. There is a white plastic maybe celluloid knob on the front. The lid is attached by hinges on the back. It is lined with a very thin green paper that has been torn back in a spot and under that is a purple material that feels like silk. I don’t know what would have been stored in this box. The dimensions are about 5.5” x 2.5”. Thank you.
