NO PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS,
TOTAL WEIGHT OF 24.9 GRAMSShows light wear from use and handling, including minor surface marks and scratches. It has been gently hand polished and cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, and is very clean. It is straight, not bent, porcelain enamel has bright color with no visible damage, has no personal monograms or engravings, with no major issues at all.
The handle is factory designed with the image of a mountain scene and metals miner, and reads ORO Y PLATA (gold and silver) with MONTANA down the center. Bowl is highly detailed in hand painted porcelain enamel with the image of the state capitol and reads STATE CAPITOL HELENA, MONT. It is hallmarked on the back STERLING S, mark for historic and listed USA Silversmith, Shepard Mfg. Co. of Melrose Highlands, Massachusetts. They were well known for their Silver souvenir spoon designs.
HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown was taken from a 1920s era jewelry trademark catalog and completely documents this mark and maker.
