Antique Sevres Style Porcelain Portrait Plate Duchesse de Falari Signed Maglin:

This beautiful plate features a lovely portrait of a lady of court and was made with the highest quality porcelain. The portrait bears the signature of the artist Maglin. Please see the photos of the signature and portrait. The plate is embossed and features a raised gold decoration. The name of the sitter, Duchesse de Falari, is painted on the back of the plate.
The back of the plate is marked with the sitter's name, the blue Sevres mark painted over the glaze, and the name of a well-known US seller of fine European porcelain, Ovington Brothers. I am not sure of the actual maker or decorator of this plate because the Sevres mark was often forged in the past.
The plate is approximately 9" in diameter and 7/8" high.
Very good antique condition: No chips, cracks, or crazing. There is some wear to the raised gold decoration, particularly on the flat surface of the plate where it was stacked, and there's a little wear to the gilding on the edge of the plate.
