Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Westminster Chime Mantel Clock Very Nice & Working Well This is areally nice antique Seth Thomas 8-day Westminster Chime mantel clock made for Cowell and Hubbard circa 1924. Cowell and Hubbard is Cleveland\'s oldest jewelry store originating in 1861. They apparently partnered with Seth Thomas to provide them with clocks to sell under their own name. This clock is marked on the dial \"Colwell and Hubbard Company Cleveland, O.\" as well as \"Made by Seth Thomas in U.S.A.\" This is a top-quality clock thatmeasures 14\" tall x 10 1/4\" wide x 7 1/2\" deep with a nicely finished heavy mahogany wood case. The original silvered dial is in good condition with slight wear and the hands are original. The key is included but is not original. The front door has athicker beveled glass. The case has a no. 119 Sonora Chime movement that chimes quarterly on four rods with the hours struck by all four hammers at once. There is a strike/silent selector lever on the right side. It\'s obvious that Cowell and Hubbard wanted quality clocks if they were going to put their own name on them. This is a rare find with the Cowell and Hubbard name so don\'t miss out. As with all antique clocks, there may be need for slight adjustment after shipping.
