A9 1/2 inch tallcylinder-shapedlight SUN COLORED AMETYST crown-top soda bottle from BUTTE MONTANA. An added feature to this bottle is the ROCKY MOUNTAIN BOTTLING WORKSembossing. Most of them are embossed Rocky Mountain Bottling Company,but this one is embossedWORKS instead of COMPANY.This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUEhand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back well over 100 years old.

Condition: Bottle is in GOOD SOLID condition. It has typical age wear, scratches/scuffs/scrapes and nicks, but there is nothing significantly wrong with it, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures for best idea of overall An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800\'s.

These tall slender BIM soda bottles were often used for GINGER ALE. They don\'t stand up very well so were often kept lying down and thus the cork lined crown cap was kept sealed by the liquid. About the only place these tall slender Butte soda bottles were found was the old KOA dump across from the Chamber of Commerce, when it was still part of the old landfill that was used to contain SILVER BOW CREEK. We used to dig the shorter wide examples as well but these tall slender ones are/were the rare ones. That was then, this is now, and I don\'t think anybody is finding these bottles anywhere anymore.
