It has been awarded personally by Tsar Nicholas II to General Nikolai Nikolaevich Yanushkevich(1868-1918). He served as Chief of Staff of the General Headquarters(Stavka) of the Imperial army.
The watch comes from his family estate.
The watch has a solid 18k rose/red gold case depicting the personal cypher monogram of Tsar Nicholas II decorated with 2ct genuine old Rose Cut Diamonds and a Ruby precious stone.

Few basic requirements were requested by to distinguish the Gondolo
watches from those made for Patek Philippe’s regular production. Firstly, the
watches were made with gilded brass plates and featured the elegant S-
shaped fourth wheel patented by Patek Philippe on 13 January 1893. The S-
shaped minute train bridge is now considered one of the company’s hallmark
designs. Secondly, a Swiss moustache lever escapement with bi-metallic
compensation balance featured on each watch to meet high precision
standards. Thirdly, the fourth, intermediate and minute wheels of each watch
were made in 9k rose gold. Forth, a square socket was necessary in each of
the mainspring barrels.Also the watches should have a maximum 21
rubis,Wolf teeth winding gear,special Patek Philippe patented snail precision
micrometric regulator ,big bycolor(bymetal) compensating balance wheel with
gold screws,and of course the watch should be observatory tested to position
and temperature.
The watch has a special 24h dial.
A real 24 hour dial watch only has 24 hour dial notation on the dial. That
means that the movement has to be altered so that the hour hand doesn't go
in 360 degrees around the dial in 12 hours, but rather in 24 hours. The hour
hand, in my example, would only show 1900 hours. You'd know for sure that
it was early evening.
Conventional 12 hour watches have a "motion work" involving a 12 to 1
reduction in the gear train from the minute hand. 24 hour watches have a
different gearing, with a 24 to 1 reduction. To be very technical, "the motion
work is the small 12-to-1 (or here a 24-to-1) reduction gear train that turns the
timepiece's hour hand from the minute hand. It is attached to the going train
by the friction coupling of the cannon pinion, so the minute and hour hands
can be turned independently to set the timepiece. It is often located on the
outside of the movement's front plate, just under the dial.
