DESCRIPTION

Beautiful pair of antique Plains Indian deerskin moccasins. Probably Bannock, Lemhi Shoshone or Crow. Decorated with multi-colored seed bead symbolic geometric humanoid images. Deer hide thongs. Color and suppleness of the soft hide suggests brain tanning. Twine stitched. Probably early 20th century. Size suggests women\'s or youth\'s mocassin.

CONDITION

Overall excellent. All beadwork complete and intact. A FINE OLD PAIR OF ANTIQUE NATIVE AMERICAN MOCCASINS IN GREAT CONDITION.
