Yours for the taking is the pictured OldLA CROSSE Wisconsin BOTTLING WORKS BOTTLE...* Apparently a Very Early 1900s piece... Not long after listing, I got the following message from a very helpful fellow er.
\"The W on the bottle stands for George Warninger, the proprietor of the bottling works. In October 1904 Warninger bought out his partner August Houthmaker, making Warninger the sole proprietor. In October 1906 Warninger sold the bottling works back to Houthmaker, and the Bitzer Bros., who were grocers in La Crosse. So your bottle is from 1904-1906.\"* Eagle logo and other raised lettering on one side only...

USED... Exhibits the pictured inner staining and haziness; I have done nothing but rinse it out with water. Looks like it has a \"flea-bit\" nick or two on the top lip; but I cannot feel it when I run a finger across it. There are several tiny nicks and fine scratching scattered about the body of the bottle (and several bubbles inside the glass).Bottom has abundant fine scratching, but no chips. Raised lettering is in great shape.
