Up for sale is a seemingly unique early straight side soda bottle from Glenmora, Louisiana, near Alexandria I believe? I cannot find any record of the existence of this bottle, which is unusual because I\'m pretty good at researching bottles! LOL. Gotta be a rare one. It\'s a pretty plain cylindrical shape with plain embossing: just \"W. A. MCDEVITT / GLENMORA, LA.\" embossed vertically on the body, \"CONTENTS NOT / LESS THAN 6OZ\" at the rear heel, and \"B. W. B. Co.\" on the base. It\'s hand blown with a tooled crown top lip and has a sweet lady\'s leg neck. It\'s colorless with perhaps a slight gray tint. It\'s a bit over 8\" tall and 2 1/4\" in diameter at the base.
The \"B.W.B.Co.\" makers mark doesn\'t show up anywhere I can find, either. The usual resources are turning up a dead end on those initials so I don\'t know what it stands for. If you\'ve seen it before, please let me know!
It\'s in very good condition with overall light case wear (consisting of some scratches and scuffs, shallow nicks to a couple letters etc.). There\'s no chips or cracks, although there are some small shallow bruises above and scattered around the body/heel, and one on the lip, also a moderate amount of patchy sickness (overall, minor).Satisfaction guaranteed, if you\'re not in love after handling it in person I\'m happy to accept returns.
