This listing is for an antique jacquard coverlet / blanket / bedspread. This beautiful blanket has a pattern of different floral designs. The indigo and ivory coverlet is double woven and can be reversed. The coverlet is made from two sections that are sewn down the center with a seam that encloses the edges. One outer edge has a rolled seam. The other edges have fringe and the bottom two corners have a date of 1849. The coverlet measures 82 inches by 67 inches. It has wear in various spots through the blanket and along the edges. There are some small holes and frayed edges. Most of the fringe is worn off. Some of the threads have worn away the design. There are also some yellowish stains. The blanket was stored in a trunk for a long time and has a slight \"old\" smell. I have not tried to clean the coverlet.
