Description:A beautiful, fluted teacup and saucer by Aynsley China of England in traditional Imari pattern. Imari also known as Japanware took its colourful designs from Japanese textiles of the day. First introduced in 1887, patterns feature the distinctive colours of iron red, cobalt blue and luxurious 22 karat gold accents.This exquisite teacup and saucer feature a creamy white background, with florals in iron red along with cobalt blue scallops with luxurious gold accents on the teacup and saucer exterior. The teacup interior has a floral spray on one side. Teacup is fluted with angular handle accented in gold. Both the teacup and saucer have scalloped edges trimmed in gold.

Condition: Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Rings well.
