This very precious antique porcelain pitcher was manufactured in France during the mid-19th century by Edme Samson et Cie. Samsonwas a well-known porcelain manufacturing and decorating firm that made copies of the very best 18th century porcelain in addition to his own designs.
The pitcher features a beautiful hand- painted Armorial Coat of Arms and Floral pattern. The painted designs are situated inside the hand-enameled white decorative frames in Asian style and adorned with gilt trim for a final touch.
Approximate measurements:6 inches tall,5.5 inches in length spout to handle,4.5 inches diameter at the bulbous body,10 oz weight.
This antique original piece is a French imitation of Chinese Export Style, with a Victorian design and a glazed finish. The pitcher is perfect for all occasions and would make a great addition to any collection and display.
