A Chase and Co. carriage blanket (a.k.a., lap robe or carriage robe) was a staple in turn-of-the-century transports, from carriages to early autos. Measuring 48\"x60\", this carriage blanket is very heavy and thick, meant to stave off the bitterest of cold weather. This blanket, which has been museum-kept for several decades, features a peacock feather medallion in the corner. There is some wear on the edges but no major holes or open seams.
