The backmark in red reads as follows:

The backmark was used on the Bauscher Brother dishes between 1895 - 1915. The 06 on the backmark indicates it was produced in 1906. It is 117 years old.
The Gebruder Bauscher Porzellan - Fabrik am Bahnhof Weiden (Bayem) was established in 1881 by August and Conrad Bauscher. They started with 70 employees. The business specialized in hotel porcelain.
They soon gained a contract to provide Norddeutsche Lloyd ships with their porcelain.
In 1907 the factory transferred into a limited liability company and in 1911 into a joint stock company. Conrad Bauscher died in 1910 and his brother August died in 1917.
In 1918 Weiden Gebr. Bauscher porcelain factory was integrated into the Strupp group...
I have read from online Bausher Brothers porcelain dealers that soldiers often brought these old German dishes back when they were overseas fighting in WWI (1914 - 1918) * WWII (1939 - 1945) as a souvenir. There is currently a Café Germania located in Cochem, Germany and also a Hotel Germania in the same location.
I remember finding this dish in North Dakota in 1995, so I have had it for 28 years. My daughter and I brought back a suitcase full of dishes on the train. This is all the provenance I have on this dish.
